In 1935, pursuant to a conversation with Ernest Henry Short, Morley Roberts provides a kind of summation of his scientific work, with an eye to his legacy, discussing his three scientific books to date, Warfare in the human body; Malignancy and evolution; and The serpent's fang. He also refers to an unpublished book that he was at that time calling Social physiology and pathology. His 1939 letter contains references to his painting.
